POIs on mini-SD, unit aksing for installation of new extras every time it boots

Hi pople,

i own Garmin 275T with 2010.30 US and 2010.20 EU maps. I tried keeping all up to date per system files. tried FAQ and still my Garmin asks if i want to install new extras from mini-SD every time it starts... very annoying, can i set it to shut up with that ?

i tried both saying No and then Yes with checkmark to do the same every time, but it still does it...

It seems you can't

I've tried it, but it doesn't work. But, if you say yes, it will duplicate the POI's on the card...

I wish Garmin would give me a preference, and then save to the unit. Forever, or until I change it.

got it solved * i think*

sorry, i think i understand why it happened. i had both US and EU POIs on that card. and since currently Garmin system runs in mph it *i think* could not load european POI created in Express mode as kph.

I see that only american mph POIs stay in garmin after removal of card.
by the way i meant micro-SD card (8gb sandisk).

never mind, for now i don't need it as my POI package still fits the unit. stopped using that card for now. got annoyed with that ...

this one no workie for me

what i mean is every time you load POIs as MPH and system uses that units its OK. once you toggle it to KPH, the POIs will not work anymore.
same with loading POIs (e.g. for Europe in KPH) while you are still in USA and Garmin uses MPH. it won't work (didn't for me when i visited Poland).

also so far it seems that all POIs must be set in same units (either MPH or KPH but not both at same time).
