GTM-25 Traffic Receiver?

I'm a little confused about this? If I were to purchase a GTM-25 Traffic Receiver, would I still need to purchase a traffic "subscription" for it to work?

my understanding

My understanding is if you buy the receiver a subscription is included. If it comes as part of a package, then you have the ad supported version.

Your GPS Model must be

Your GPS Model must be SUPPORTED to receive Traffic alerts by using it.

In other words, you must have compatible Garmin GPS navigator.

I have the Nuvi 255W. I believe it is compatible.

It says: "lifetime

It says: "with lifetime traffic"

I have a NUVI 255W(T) that came with this. It says lifetime, I do get occasional Best Western popups, but it is not too bothersome. What I find more frustrating is that one day I get the traffic icon, another I do not in the same location. Not sure why, unless I am out of range or something

Opps!

May be that another day didn't have TRAFFIC congestion smile

It was only a joke above.

If you PLUG IN with your Traffic Receiver cable, you should have Green, Yellow or RED Traffic Icon depends on your Route.

Unless, you are not in the coverage area (Like Cell phones has no bars).

I would do a hard reset.
