I'm not quite sure how this works.
If I upload the database of speed trap cameras, will I get an audio and visual alert each time I approach one?

There is a default audio alert for the camera files if the file has certain keywords in the title. POI Loader Help explains which keywords need to be there for the default alert.

Yes you will get what I call
Yes you will get what I call the default bong alert.The word speed in the file name triggers automatic alert using poiloader in express mode.Distance can be changed using manual mode.You can add voice alerts using either mp3 or wav files depending on the model of your Garmin.See http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25721 for custom pois installation.
