How can I move a working Mapsource from one computer to the other

Hello to all at POI Factory site! I need some help because I am not a well versed in computers!

I have mapsource working in one computer with windows XP with City Navigator North America NT 2009 and I want to move it to a computer with windows 7. My garmin 670 has North America NT and Europe maps and they work. I have a backup of garmin folder of the computer with XP ( Which was the original downloaded from Garmin) but I can not install on the computer with windows 7.

A messege say that some files could not be installed.
I do not have a DVD with mapsourece or the maps, because was done by the net!

My question is: What files do I have to move and what steps do I need to take to have mapsourece working with windows 7?

Thanks for the help if you can !!

Gps! ask where to go and get there! Best of all, what we need is to have accurate pois to reach all destinations

.

Install Mapsource from scratch on the second computer just as you did for the first. Period.

Currently have: SP3, GPSMAP 276c, Nuvi 760T, Nuvi 3790LMT, Zumo 660T

.

You will need the original source that you used to install the maps whether that was a DVD or a file that you downloaded.

If you didn't backup the file that you downloaded, then you will need to purchase the maps again.

Moving Mapsource

Thank you for your help! I did have the back up and I did open from the external hard drive where I had and installed, but first I had to install the mapsource training program to be able to access the files! I don`t know if I did the right thing or not but mapsource is working.

Thanks again and Season`s Greetings for all at POI Factory!
