765T and Best Western Rewards?

I wonder if this is a function of the Traffic receiver... Does the 765T have it?

Edit.I do remember a post way back when the free traffic came out a member was trying to figure out how to keep the ads from showing up.Can't find that post and not sure if he ever was successful.

Free Traffic service on the newer Garmin models is subsidized by pop-up ads. Hence, the ads are expected. I'm pretty sure there isn't a way to disable it... unless someone has developed a hack for it. I too would like to know if a hack exists.

I have the 265WT. I knew they mentioned the ads when I bought the unit, so I was expecting them. But I was pleasantly surprised at how small they were. I hardly even notice them.

Its better than paying $10/month for traffic notification.

FYI, on a recent trip to Detroit, I had to make it to the airport at rush hour. A native gave me the "best" way, saying it would take about 80 minutes to get there. I followed the Garmin as it avoided the traffic jams and made it in 50.

Also, if you turn off the traffic notification, you should turn off the ads.

I found the same thing.You don't even notice them and not that many of pop up anyway.

I have seen the popup ads when stopped, but not the "offers" selection in the tools menu. The pop-ups don't bother me, but I don't want "left-overs" that I can't get rid of.
