About Time!

Well, it's about time. We're FINALLY getting some rain here in N.CA. Weather people say it will "dump" about 1-3" on us today. That's great.

POILoader Beta 2.4.0

Hi all, don't know if this is the correct place to ask this, but i need some help !! I have just bought a brand new Garmin Nuvi 1490t but it does not support mp3 files and i wish to install voice alerts. The only way i can do this is to tx the files to WAV format and use POILoader Beta 2.4.0 to do this. Has anyone got access to the file and if so, can i have a copy.

I am late, Canuck Thanksgiving yesterday, to much turkey.
Snowed 5 cm already in calgary,
Brings out alot of the foolish 4X4 SUV and pick up truck drivers that drive so fast and think that their can stop faster than a regular vechicle.

Fall Color

almost gone in Northern Wisconsin. The freezing cold, rain/snow, and wind have brought most down. We had 3 inches of snow on the ground this morning.

deep fried turkey

A few years ago while on holidays in south Florida, an American couple invited us over for Thanksgiving dinner.

We were sitting outside talking and having a drink when all of a sudden we saw them take out a turkey fryer. My girlfriend and I looked at one another thinking what the hell and they explained to us that they deep fried their turkey.

Well all that being said that was the best turkey I ever ate. That same week I went out and bought myself a kit and brought it back home.

I used it yesterday for our Thanksgiving dinner and everyone really enjoyed it and commented on how moist and delicious it was. If ever you want to try a different method in cooking a turkey, try deep frying it as they do down south, you certainly won't regret it !!

First day of our journey

In less than an hour, my husband and I will be on our way to Arizona. We are driving our car and towing a motorcycle trailer.

We have three Garmins and loaded them with POI's (thanks all of you) and our Map Source route.

Will keep you posted!

GPS on 'what time is it'

I was watching a show about time. It was mentioned how the time needs to be adjusted on the satellites due to general relativity or the directions would be off by dozens of feet per day.

Even funnier, the guy used a GPS device to get to the military base in charge of the satellites and ended of up a field at first smile They glossed over if it was user error or an incorrect location in the system

Saddness in my life right now.

This week my best friends boyfriend killed himself. I found out Wednesday and I have been spending time with my friends going through the grieving process with them. I didn't get much work done after Wednesday and I have lots of emails to get through.

I wanted to just let you guys now that I will be back to work on Monday and will catch up as soon as I can.

This has been a very difficult time for me. I will be taking time off Tuesday and Wednesday to attend his services.

I appreciate all of your love and support and patience as I get back to normal.
