2 Track?

I have a Nuvi 750 and while in Northern Michigan I hit detour because US131 was out. When I did that I ended up on a 2 track, ORV trail. Anyone else had that happen? Is there a way to say, Dirt roads are ok, but 2 track trails are not?

simple answer - no

using the avoidance settings, "unpaved roads" is as specific as you'll get.

Northern Wisconsin

I am interested in seeing how my 765T handles all of the dirt roads in Northern Wisconsin where we hunt in the Fall. Many are old logging roads on state property. Sorry I have not had it direct me to dirt roads or trails as yet.

As an ex-cheesehead myself, I look forward to your results.

Here's what I find with my nuvi 750 on dirt roads in northern Arizona. With Avoid Unpaved Roads checked, my nuvi successfully routes me over City Navigator's unpaved Forest Roads to the various trailheads I've saved to my nuvi as a favorite; i.e., when at home, I can select a route to Robber's Roost Trailhead and nuvi will route me over paved and unpaved roads successfully to my destination--ditto for the reverse route to take me home. I have not tried to use my nuvi with the unpaved avoidance unselected and I've also not tried using City Navigator to route me to a dirt road destination that's not already been saved as a Favorite in my nuvi.

Happy trails.
