MSN Cable Battery Problem

Has anyone noted charging problems with the MSN Direct Receiver GDB 55 battery? After about 6 hours on DC power the battery on my cable only charged to half scale. Then intermittantly it indicates 1/4 charge or no charge. This may have started after the software update that was to provide faster acquisition of traffic information. I am not sure.
No problems, but ...
I have noticed faster traffic and other MSN updates after the software update but so far have not noted any problem with the receiver battery indicator. That having been said, since I purchased it about 9 months ago, the charge has never shown more than 50% ...

Faster updates, shorter life
I've noticed that since the faster acquisition update, my battery has run down faster. That said, it still reaches full charge within an hour or two of connected power -- note that it charges from the GPSr, not the 12V outlet!
If you're charging it off your Nuvi and it's not full after 6 hours, then the battery may be going bad.
