michigan golf courses

Thought I'd take a shot at doing a POI of Michigan 18 hole golf courses.. Got the Extra poi editor running, and loading courses. Everything seemed to be going fine.
Got about 140 into the POI file, and thought I should check it out on my NUVI 500. Reinstalled all my POI's so far so good. The file size is 207kb. When I opened the extras folder to see what I have. I found the Golf folder and opened it. But instead of 140 courses there where only
about 48 listed. Just in case they where not all showing I did a search for a course that is known to be in the file. It did not come up. ????? Anyone have any suggestions for me.
Only 48?
I know of at least one POI editor that has a specific limit of 48 items. Don't know where that magic number comes from (2 to the 5th is 32 and to the 4th is 16, so maybe binary 110000?) I don't think it matters if your tool is the same one I know of, just there are limits that are not always clearly identified.
