GPS Mounts in Canada

I thought that you held your gps in place with a block of ice up in Canada?? A little water, wait 3 minutes and you're good to go! grin LOL!!

Not as well as one on a dog sled. More vibration, but it does have a generator.

Dash Mount

How does this compare to the Official Garmin Beanbag Mount. Will this $19 one will slide more easily than the Garmin one? Will it leave a residue on the dash?
Is it lighter than the Garmin version.

Sure the price is fantastic, but after a year of use, will it rot in the sun due to poor quality fabric.
(Sounds like it could be "You pay for what you get" item)
