Alerts

Red light camera files are set up to do the alert. Most others such as truck stops and rest areas are simple csv files that don't have alert info built in.

There are 2 basic ways to set a file such as Rest Areas to sound an alert.

1. When using POI Loader, select manual mode and then for those particular files that you want an alert, set the distance parameter. If you want a special alert other than the "bong" you will need to include an mp3 or wav file depending on model that has been renamed to exactly match the file. e.g. restarea.csv and restarea.mp3.

2. Search here for Extra_POI_Editor. This is an excellent program that will allow you to put the alert distance into the file, save it as a gpx and then when you run POI Loader, you can skip the manual process.
