Not lost anymore. Well, not as it pertains to driving anyway. -Garmin Nuvi 765t, 56 unt Mac user.

It isn't really a discount

Since they recover most of what they lose in the discount by overcharging shipping. I wonder how much shipping costs if there's no discount.

Scam?

This is from the FAQ on their site:

Q: How much will it cost to ship to my U.S. address?

•A: For residents of the United States, we are pleased to offer a flat-rate shipping fee of $2.99 for USPS First Class Mail shipping on your order, no matter the destination!

Sounds like a great deal. I

Sounds like a great deal. I have to have one!

$2.99 for shipping seems

$2.99 for shipping seems fair to me, but that's me...

.

$2.99 for shipping is fair. But yorkielover indicated that the shipping was more like $6 or $7.

I wouldn't call it a scam

Perhaps a legal business trick to avoid paying huge tax? $2.99 shipping charge is still too steep for an item that small and light. $6.xx is just ridiculous. Well... we don't know what yorkielover ordered and what type of shipping he/she chose. It could've been an overnight shipping smile

255w?

Postage

Part of the shipping issue is that they send you a "kit" - - fancy packaging with a squeegee and maybe some other stuff. They can't stick a $.61 stamp on this thing, it's too bulky.

Thanks for the heads up!

Ordered 1 for myself!

wow

thanks, gonna get me one! My screen is starting to take a beating. Might as well keep it from getting worse.

Thanks for Sharing ,

Ordered one for my 255W today. If it helps stops all the fingerprints on the screen it is well worth it. Has anyone tried one?

Thanks for the link from me also

Just bought two - one for my 255W and one for my 200W. Sure hope these work out better than some of the cheapies I bought off E-Bay when I first got my 200W last year. Never could get them on right.

There's another thread on this product.

I've got Invisishield on both Nuvis. Yes, it helps minimize the finger print issue.

Applying the shield?

I was just wondering if the application process of this is the same as the iPod. Where you have to spray the shield and wipe out the excess solution. I have the Nüvi 785t and am concerend the solution will get into the unit. Anyone had any issues?

I have...

covered everything but the front window of my home with these things, they are the best form of protection for most every GPS, camera, etc. available, well worth the extra $$$ involved.

--
"Backward, turn backward, oh time in your flight, make me a child again, just for tonight."

I too...

had the same concern, but have applied these things to six GPS's, and had no problems. Of oourse, you dont flood the thing with water, just a slight mist, and it works very well...good luck!

Got Mine

Got my two InvisibleShields today (June 1st). Unfortunately one of the tubes of the liquid used to apply the shield was almost empty. Top was loose and must have leaked out during shipment. The packaging wasn't wet, but maybe it evaporates fast. Or may have leaked out before shipping. Have an email in to Zagg - hope to hear back soon. Probably enough liquid in one dispenser to apply both shields anyways.

Yes, I imagine that what's left is more than enough to take care of your shields. Even if not, Zagg suggests that there's enough active ingredient left inside a nearly empty spray bottle that you can refill the sprayer with water and it'll still work.

I have tried the water-refill method and it works just fine. I did use distilled water for my refill.

Good luck with the application. Even for folks that normally don't read instructions, this would be a good time to be different and follow the instructions. Patience is nice, too. Always remember that if applied wrong or if you don't like the results, the shield can be easily peeled off with no after effects. Also note that the applied shield may look better a day after being applied than it is immediately after you've applied it.

Luckily, your GPS tasks will be easier than my last two Invisible Shield applications. I custom cut a circle from the material and applied the circle to a slightly domed mineral glass crystal of a new wrist watch. It's amazing how nearly invisble the material is even on a wrist watch which almost qualifies as jewelry. I am quite sure that I would have scratched my crystal by now if I hadn't "shielded" it first.

Best Skins Ever

I have been very pleased with the skins from http://www.bestskinsever.com.. Don't wait for a sale. Half the price, no or minimum shipping charges.

Unfortunately, not as large a selection,

Difference

Are there any differences between the ones for Garmin 200 and 700 series?

Also, does this offer anti-glare?
