POIs on different/multiple maps

On my 760 I have the North America base and TOPO maps loaded. I use the TOPO map for off-roading. How can I load POIs to that map. When I switch to the TOPO map I have zero POIs but when I enable both maps I don't get the topo info. Am I doing something wrong (most likely) or is there a way to separate which POIs are connected to which map? Or a way to display the topo info along with the base map info?
Thanks

Custom POIs should not be connected to any map. They should show the same regardless of which map you have visible. Never heard of anyone having that problem.

Are you saying that at the exact same zoom settings the Custom POIs show on the City Navigator maps but on when you have the TOPO maps active?

I'm guessing you are talking

I'm guessing you are talking about the POI's that are part of the maps when you get your Garmin, rather than ones you have added. If so, those will not show unless the Garmin map is checked as being used.

Your own POI's that you have added should show. They are separate from the Garmin map, and show at the right coordinates whatever map you are using. If those are not showing or alerting, that I do not have an answer for.

Custom POIs

I understand that the pre-loaded POIs would only show with the City Navigator map, but my custom POIs do NOT show when I use only the topo map. Even if I go into the menu the custom POI section is not there like there are none loaded.
Guess a call to Garmin is coming then.

Something is wrong with your 760. Because I have a 750 and I'm able to access/see my custom POIs even if I have a topo map selected.

Are you using the Garmin topo maps or third party maps? (I'm using free third party maps)

Any good sites..

Any good sites for Topo maps?

Try here:

At least for AZ, the 1:24k-detail map installs to Garmin's Mapsource, then you can select the whole map and have Mapsource send it to a SD card to be used by your eTrex, nuvi or whatever.

Thanks
