My daughter and her husband live in the fairly new town of Sahuarita, AZ est. 1994. We visited and loved that little area,not far from Tucson.
They are in for a bit of cold weather with they come to visit us here in Massachusetts next week. I hope she doesn't have anyone on the plane with the flu!

Derby longshot
What a finish. To bad I didn't have money on the winner, Mine That Bird. Second highest payout at $103.20 on a $2 bet.
I was almost sure there were going to be big payouts in that race. Big field, sloppy track, high-quality two-year olds with hardly any record to judge by, favorites going into the race having to scratch or not enter because of injury, put it all together, and predicting a big upset was easy.
I picked the wrong one.
That's the problem. Almost half the field had odds similar to Mine That Bird's.
You watch the replay, and half of them were going backwards in the stretch. The mud took the fight out of them.
The favorite was the only one who had a win on an off-track. He wasn't a factor. Typical of two year olds at the Derby. Very difficult race to handicap on fast track conditions; almost impossible on an off track.

Greetings from Israel. I'm on a 34 day busness trip without my Nuvi. I've rented a MIO and it is marginal as far as ease of use goes. Then again it just may be the map quality in Israel and that they change the names of the streets in the middle of the block.

A Different Southeast
When is it going to stop raining in the Southeast? We are having the rainiest May and it's starting to get to me. I want sunshine. Sorry had to rant a bit.
You must be in a different part of the southeast. The lakes and ponds are drying up around Tampa, FL. We need rain badly. Tougher watering restrictions were recently put into effect. Its bad here.

Gary.Like you say dry in Florida.In Va it started raining here last Friday and has not been much let up until today.I thought yesterday was the last of it.Cut the grass yesterday thinking I was good to go.No more then finishing it down poured again.Still more rain in the forecast.Just set back and watch the grass grow.

Still working in the yard--
Still working in the yard-- it has overgrown in the many years and is now taking a lot of work. The Fire dept is concerned with all the fires and are being extra careful making sure the area is cleared of all brush. Another day of cutting and then the chipper will be here Monday. Glad to have two nice helpers.

I have been away from the site for the last 20 hours. You guys sure can post alot in that time.
I participated in the Koman Race for the Cure this morning. I walked the 5K with some of my mommy friends.
We are going to train over the next year and run it next year.
