My free Nuvi 200 works fine and get me there on time. Gave the old Garmin C320 to the wife and see loves it. Both basic and reliable.
Who needs a new one.

I Will keep my 760 for awhile...
I still use a Pentium 4 PC. Your older model will still work
Just when I thought I had settled on getting a 765t, Garmin comes out with a new model. Now I don't know what to do. The pedestrian feature is really nice on the new models. Maybe the price of the 765t will be deeply discounted and then cost will guide my decision.
interesting
With that many models, they remind me of GM in my grandfather's days. imho they should only have about 5 models but then again, I don't work in their marketing department...

Read the threads here, and compare the new units.....if you were going to purchase the 765T it's doubtful you would want the newer models.
Voice recognition aside, the 765T (or 7X5 series) appears to be the best models, even if Garmin does not think so. The 8 series does have a few features the 7 series does not, but also does not have features the 7 series does....
Maybe
Time to get a new one.
Why not buy a discontinued model that has lots of features, and is still backed by Garmin? Cheap price, and more features! Look at the 7XX series, which are EXCELLENT devices.
Cheers......... Joel

The 765 OR the 785. They are the same unit except the 765 comes with the GTM 20 FM Traffic receiver and the 785 comes wiht the MSN Direct receiver.
You can buy one or the other and if you want the other type of receiver you can buy it separately and you will have BOTH.
But be aware that the 785 MSN receiver onyl comes wiht 3 month Free... and afte rthat you have to buy the subscription.
The 765 GTM 20 receive rcomes with the FREE lifetime receiver ( with advertisements.)

The pedestrian mode is currently on the 760, the new series adds a Public Transportation Mode.

Sweet.. I can't wait for the GPS sales. Some have already started, but I'm hoping they'll get even better once the new line is actually released. I'm looking to upgrade my old StreetPilot c550.

Just a quick note - I was just comparing the 765T with the 1390T and one of the things I don't like on the newer model is no route capability. That would be a deal breaker for me (if I was going for a new one at this time).

Garmin let user down
The next series not even better than the previous.
Example: The 885 lack some features that I like on the 765T:
Using MicroSD instead SD. Easy to lose the microSD and must carry the adapter to connect to PC.
No option that showing traffic maps only.
Lack of 3D building maps.
FM traffic less accuracy.
Slower than 765T.
I won't buy or upgarde any Garmin in couple years for sure.
