What do You mean by "politicians didn't know it"? What do You think why they wanted those cameras in first place? It always was about profit. If You listening to them before they install it it's for "safety", but later they talk only about revenue.
What's crazy is that a lot of politicians and law enforcement agencies are actually admitting that they are putting up cameras for profits because of budget shortfalls! Absolutely ridiculous.
