mapsource coordinates don't match GeoCoder.ca

Hello All,

I was trying to write a POI file (.cvs) and was looking into some coordinates. I set a favorite location from my garmin nuvi 260 and transferred it to mapsource. In mapsource, the coordinates are:
N40 32.357
W79 50.105.

If I look up the address in GeoCoder.ca I get the following coordinates (which are correct):
Latitude: 40.538327 °
Longitude: -79.836811 °

As you can see they are not even close. The funny thing is mapsource shows the correct location on the map, I can tell by the city. If I do a reverse Geocoder on the coordinates from mapsource, they are way off.

The address is:
66 alpha drive west, pittsburgh, pa 15238

Am I missing something or doing something wrong with mapsource??

They are about the same

40 degrees 32.357 minutes is equal to 40.539283 minutes.

Dividing 30.357 minutes by 60 gives you .539283 as a fraction of a degree.

The distance between 40.539283 and 40.538327 is only 220 feet.

They are just in different units. The top ones are degrees.minutes and the bottom ones are decimal degrees. There are conversion factors from one to the other, but I'd just go into the program and set it for the one you want. I always use decimal degrees.
