POI alerts

Please, how do you turn OFF the alerts without losing the POI itself? I loaded POI's w/alerts but upon turning off the alert feature the POI doesn't appear onscreen.
Is there a way to re-load the POI's without alerts or modify the existing POI's to remove alert feature?

Zoom
In 2d mode you need to be zoomed in at 300 feet or less for the icons to show up. The alert feature does allow the icon to show at larger zoom levels. If you have not read about tourguides, you may want to do a little reading and see if it is more to your liking.

Yes. You reload the POI and do not set alerts. Icons still show, the POI are loaded and even the alert, but the alert will not sound as there was no alert set at the time you did the load using POILoader.

Try this
Try turning off Proximity Alerts.
Tools>Settings>Proximity Points>change Proximity Alerts>uncheck Custom POIs
