help with a poi

i created a poi that will alert me of my speed when i get to that spot . i used the garmin poi loader to get it on my c 330 when i loaded i checked the the speed box and put in the miles per hour i did not put anything in the distance box . when i pull it up on the gps it shows the miles per hour i wanted and it also put in a distance is this the way it should be or did i do something wrong . thanks glenn
