Is there anything that can help learn how to use Mapsource - Garmin manual pretty sketchy. As an example how do I get POI files (converted to GPX) to to stick in the POI screen of Mapsource. Every time I loan one file the previous one disappears.

You can open multiple instances of MapSource at the same time.
You can copy and paste the Waypoints between the instances, then you can save the MapSource file once they are all in the same instance.
There's no way to get them to automatically "stick".
