New user , Nuvi 750. I only have a chose of two functional english speaking voices and those do not contain (TTS) after them. Can any one explain why I can not use the other names that have the (TTS) ??
You should be able to go to
You should be able to go to tools, settings and language, then scroll down to whichever TTS you want. The non-TTS show up first. If that still doesn't work, go to Garmin and download the Webupdater tool to your computer. That will allow you to download stuff to your 750 and get updates.
The TTS voices should already be on your unit. Can you scroll down past the non-TTS

You CAN use the others TTS voices but they are in a variety of languages. Try finding either "Jack (TTS)" or "Jill (TTS)" for american english.

Thanks for the replies. I see them and I can choose several different voices ,such as Jill, jack,or Karen but after I do there is silence. Also I connected to Garmin and updated those same voices when I 1st found out I that I had a problem. Also, prior to finding this "glitch" Garmin updated my 750 to ver. 4.60. Any reason this update might be a problem ?

Sorry for the misspelling--I down loaded the updated voices a 2nd time and now they seem to function fine. Thank all for the inputs. Jim
