Dear Ms. POI: Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your thoughtful words when I posted about my mother falling. She passed on February 1, 2009, regaining conciousness long enough to tell me & my sister she loved us.

I love it when loved ones have the opportunity to have a connection before passing. It is good for all involved.
I am so sorry for your loss, I find that as I get older losing loved ones gets much harder because you have had more time to have those wonderful memories that we all look back on and miss once they have gone.

I just wanted to comment on this topic, I had taped my parents 50th Anniversary back in 1989 when we all went back to Michigan for their renewing of their vows and since then both of my parents have passed away as I doing some spring cleaning I saw the tape and just prior has purchased a dvd/vsh player and burner and dubbed the tape to a DVD, it was a full two hours and all the emotions, tears, joy, etc,etc, that came from this experience and sending copies to my family members brought all kinds of joy and happiness that will now last for a long time.

I am so happy that you and your sister had the opportunity to say good bye, so many people don't have that chance, yet alone to be told how much you meant to her and her to you.

My deepest condolences on the loss of your mother. It was good you and your sister were able to say goodbye.
My father is going in for a biopsy Wednesday and has already canceled a trip in May leading me to think it's more serious than he's telling me. My mother is having problems too. I hope everything goes ok for them.

I'd also like to echo Miss Poi's comments.
I was in the military stationed in Az when my Father passed and stationed in Tx when my mother passed. They were in NJ. Both passings were sudden.
I'm so glad you were able to be by her side.
