Alerts: continuous autoplay vs single tone with custom sounds

I have a nuvi 350 with a TourGuide csv sent for McCDonalds. I used the Kentucky Derby sound with the continous auto play option and it drove my wife crazy when we were in urban areas. I switched to single tone and all I get is a songle tone. What I wanted was the custom sound, Derby, just once.
Lastly, does anyone know how the continous sound option is implemented , i.e. everyone 300 ft and for how long does it operate.

Thanks

John

On a 255 ...

On my nuvi 255 single tone plays the WAV once as a warning and once each time I exceed the alert speed while in the zone. It does play the custom sound if I have one for that POI.

Single Vs. Continous Tone

This has been discussed in several topics so I searched for single tone and came up with quite a few hits. Here are two:

On my 660, I have not been able to get custom audio alerts to sound just once. Drives my wife crazy, too. Consequently, I don't load very many custom audio alerts any more.
