C530 + Microsoft Streets & Trips 2007

just wondering if anyone has tried to use Microsoft Streets & Trips with poi or anyother features with it. I can import a cvs file and play with it but cant create one. I have not tried to use it with my garmin c530 yet also.
Before I got the c530, I was using a Cobra gps1000 which I used with a laptop and Microsoft Streets & Trips 2007. It gave me a lot of info and was very flexible but was alway off with the ploting and where I was.
Just wondering if the c530 can be used like that ( hooking it up as a gps unit and leting the laptop do the work..)
Also wounding if Microsoft Streets & Trips can be used with poi and such...
any ideas?

Unfortunately, the c530, without modification, is setup only as a set of drives and cannot be seen by another program as a GPS. However, there are some workarounds. See: http://www.poi-factory.com/node/1870.
