I think we need to ask the feds for a bailout.Everybody else has.

I’m back.
Had to work the New Year eve.
I didn’t get shot at this New Years night, so all went well.
Had to hide the unit under a freeway pass at midnight so as not to get lead rain, lol

I hope everyone had a Safe and Happy New Years.

Miss POI's new Pic very nice way to start the New Year. Happy Holidays to all.

4.30pm and 28 (degrees C - NOT F) here now and it was 36 a few days ago - only problem was that I did not get to the beach!

Once again Miss POI was a tease and didn't provide the promised goods....

I really thought that doing the Contributor of the year awards would be easy...

It only takes me an hour to figure out the COW awards, just give me a few hours and I can get this figured out.

I take my responsibilities to this community seriously and I am not able to figure out the award recipients in a matter of hours.

So I am giving myself a few days to think, ponder, analyze and do what I do best.

I will be posting two awards on Monday, one for the Last Contributor of the week for 2008 and also the two individuals that I select for the annual honor of Contributor of the Year.

So I am doing something that I love to do, which is to leave you in suspense and wondering...

End of 2 week vacation - back to work on monday

I survived a week near LA and a new GPS.

No big mishaps getting around. Woohoo!

This site was invaluable. Thanks for all the good work from the whole community.

Yeah, for me it was a "Blue Christmas" now a rather good new year coming on board. At least, the spate of friends and family suffering from dire illnesses is getting under control again. The ones who did not die are now getting better. And I am serious about that statement. Which is what had me down for the entire month of December.

Now we are beginning to rally even though the economy is still in the tank and that means more attention to the budget. I feel like I was in a coma for weeks, and suddenly waking up to discover life still goes on.

POI-Factory, you are a great bunch of guys and gals. Lots of talent here. Lots of good folks.

Back to work after 11 days of being away from the office.

Mildred, the church gossip, self-appointed monitor of the church's morals,
kept sticking her nose into other people's business. Several members did not
approve of her gossiping, but feared her enough to maintain their silence.

She made a mistake, however, when she accused Henry, a new member, of being
an alcoholic after she saw his old pickup truck parked in front of the town's only bar one afternoon.
She emphatically told Henry and several others that everyone seeing it there would know what he was doing.

Henry, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just turned and
walked away. He didn't explain, defend, or deny. He said nothing.

Later that evening, Henry quietly parked his pickup in front of Mildred's
house . . walked home . . . and left it there all night.

You gotta love Henry.
