mp3 playlist creation

I would like to get some recommendations on the best way to create a playlist on my PC for use on my nuvi 765T.

I sometimes like to listen to multi-part radio programs and audiobooks (in mp3 format not .aa) on long trips, and find that it is pretty difficult to do so without a playlist, due to the way the nuvi imports the mp3 files.

It will not always play the tracks in the correct order, and it is tough to create one with the nuvi itself, because the length of the track names makes it difficult to select them in the right order.

I have used winamp, and it is adequate, but I was wondering if there is a better and easier way that any of you have found, or if there are any nice freeware utilities, that are designed to do just one thing, create playlists in the m3u format.

Notepad

There may be other utilities, but I just use the command line dir /b *.mp3 > playlist.m3u and then edit as needed with Notepad.

Also, this question was discussed here:
