Dec 2008 - POI File download improvements

I installed some software updates for POI file pages this evening. Here are the most significant changes:

* download buttons are at the top of the page
* CSV files can also be downloaded in OV2 format

The OV2 feature does a basic conversion using column 3 of the CSV file as the POI name. Info in any additional columns is currently discarded. The tool is not able to convert from GPX.

This new functionality works with most of the POI files on the site, but there are still a few files that work the old way. Eventually, I will get them all converted to use the new download tools.

If you have a TomTom, please provide feedback on how well these converted OV2 files are working on your particular model.

Thanks,
JM

Looks great!

A lot better since you don't have to scroll down on those long pages (e.g. Walmart) to update the file. Thanks for the update!
