Create a Route

I've tried Google Maps and looked at the help files and there doesn't seem to be any way to create routes solely using Google Maps.

However with Mapquest, you can drag and drop the roads to the route you want and then right click on the waypoints and add the waypoints to create a route.

as grush says, via points will be created when you drag the route to the road you wish to use. Make sure that you right click each via point, and choose options to make it a route point.

then send it to your nuvi with the drop down menu, and after disconnecting from the PC, go to My Data (on my 765T at least), and choose import route from file...it should then appear under your custom routes.

if you don't convert via points to route points, the nuvi will recalculate when you import it as a custom route, and ignore your changes.

doesn't work great, but it is useable.

OK, so I made a custom route and sent it to my Garmin. Seems easy enough.

But where the heck can I find it on the GPS? It's not in Favorites or Custom routes, in fact, I can't find it anywhere.

Come on Google, show us how it should be done.

do you have something like My Data as I state above on my 765T?

if not, perhaps someone with another model can give you more specific info.

you need to find a screen with the "import from file", before it will show up under your custom routes.

It would be nice if the maps on the page were bigger, but then they would have to sacrificle all the ad's and junk.
