a lil story ... and need of your suggestion

check this out... late Friday night, a girl-friend i hadnt seen in a looong time called and told me to come to a house party...
if you hadnt known yet from my long post, my 660 was stolen.. so i had to get creative. i had my friend's laptop in the car but freakn Borders charge for internet connection so i scratched that idea... so i resulted.. to *drum roll* a county map.

my resourcefulnes got me real close to where i had to go.. but yea, i had to have a friend guide me when i got to the neighborhood.

you know how embarassed I was when i walked in n i had numerous people telling me, 'i thought you said you can never get lost? how are you 30 mins late?'

ANYWAY

looking into a 760.. any suggestions? recommendations? i want the best out there and i thought poi-factory peeps would make the greater recommendations to amazon users..

im still caught up between a

im still caught up between a lot of models better (higher) than my 660. I *sigh* everytime i see the amazon ratings to see a 4.5 for the 660 with over 1450 reviews/ratings.

looking into
670, 680, 760, 765t, 770, 775t, 785t.

I excluded the 5000 cus i dont think i need anything that big. i excluded anything that doesnt have txt-to-speech. i excluded the one that said to not have bluetooth capabilities.

i notice a lot of these read to have 2 hours less batt power than the 660. And the one-up they have over the 660 is the multi-routing.

now barring price, which is THE BEST of these??? what are the negatives? i heard some of these have horrible bluetooth. 660's bluetooth was great. i could use it speaking in a normal/low voice and my friends said they can hear me well.

and how about MSN? ive never had it. is that better than regular traffic? is lifetime traffic available yet?
and speedtrap/traffic .. are the DLs here compatable to an upgrade?

should i wait for an even better nuvi model from garmin?? i hate looking for directions on line and writing them (since my printer is dead!)

I tripped going up the escalator and I fell for an hour and a half!

thanks for the recommended

thanks for the recommended link! i really liked the review they have on the site BUT the custome reviews seem to be in much disagreement with the 'expert' reviews.

Bluetooth Quality

I like the bluetooth capability on my 760. I currently have it mounted to the left of the steering wheel on the windshield, and the any front seat passenger is heard on the other end of the phone.
I like the feature that when I link the 760 to my wifes Nokia phone, it can fully browse the cell phones address book as well.

Nuvi 760

I got one for my wife at Thanksgiving. I have been very impressed with it so far. No problems. The one I ordered came with software 2.3, and I have upgraded to 2.6. It shows the map scale on the screen, FM transmitter work in the suburban fine, street names show in the title area (next one as soon as you pass a street). I like the multi routing and tracks feature. It will show on the screen a light blue "trail" of where you have been. Handy if you have to back track. I bought mine from www.buydig.com.

She went from a c330, and I use the c580 every day. My only other experience with the nuvi line was a 200 I got for my grandparents.

nuvi 880

Consumer Reports has rated the 880 the highest of all GPS tested so far. Right underneath that in the ratings are the 765T and the 760. Big price difference as the 765 is quite a bit cheaper than the 880 and the 760 is quite a bit cheaper than the 760. It's up to you if you want to pay a lot extra for the voice recognition capabilities of which the 880 has by far the best.

There are numerous 880 reviews all over the web. Here's one at CNet.com which also said the 880 is one of the best they've tested: http://reviews.cnet.com/car-gps-navigation/garmin-nuvi-880/4...

gpsmagazine also said 880 is

gpsmagazine also said 880 is the best... do u guys know if it can be charged while running?

im checkin on amazon user reviews.. the negatives usually appeal to me because thats what u deal with when u have it...
