Nuvi 750 - Costco Deal!!! $199.00

Just got my weekly Costco mailing and the Nuvi 750 is priced at $299 and then a $100 discount for a price of $199.00 plus taxes and shipping (yes, they are charging something like %5.99 for shipping & handling).

Price started today and only good for a short time!!!

Page 1>>

wow

Thats a great price!

Nuvi 760

That's a good price on the 750.

1saleaday.com also has the Nuvi 760 for today only for $240 ending at midnight eastern time.

Should be no tax in most states, they usually charge around $5 for shipping.

Costco advantage

They have a lifetime customer satisfaction policy (does not apply to computers, televisions and other selected electronics, due to abuse).

It cannot be matched by any other retailer. I would pay a higher price just for that "insurance policy"!

“It’s their world. We’re just living in it.”

Great price

That is a great price....I was originally considering the 750 before I opted for the 255W.

Can Order Even If Not Member

FYI - you can order from costco.com even if you are not a member. But they add a 5% surcharge. Even with the surcharge the 750 would only be $210.

Smokin deal

I just purchased a 770 for a tad over $300 a few weeks ago. Now my wife wants one. I might have to spring for this. Thanks for the post.

Nuvi 750-Sams Club

Just noticed that Sam's Club has it for $198.76

Do they have a comparable warranty to Costco?

Unfortunately we don't have any warehouse stores around here so I can't compare.

Also Beach Camera where I bought a tv once and had good results has it for $197 with free shipping.

addendum: The Beach Camera unit is refurb.

sams club

Sam's Club has a generous return policy somewhat similar to Costco's - 100% customer satisfaction guarantee except computers where it's six months and 30 days on Dell computers, if I recall correctly. Hope it helps.

Sams

Sams club is also running a promotion where you can get a membership good through the end of the year for 10 bucks.

prices going down and down

I see the nuvi 760 is down to something like 270 on amazon, only $3 more than the 660!

I like amazon because there's no tax and free shipping. Heck, we're talking about saving another $20, why not??! And on a $2400 tv, that tax and a 3% reward with a credit card add up....

that price is sick

MUST .... RESIST .....MUST .... RESIST ..... sad

Prices dropping weekly

Ok, now I'm sick. I thought I had a good deal at $298 for my Nuvi 760 only 4 weeks ago in the middle of October. At this rate they'll be sub $150 by Christmas.

does the 750 have "issues"?

does the 750 have "issues"? I've been doing some reading, trying to absorb general consumer comments about this unit and there are a lot of negatives.

Slow sat acquisition time? Poor mounting system? Bad directions?

Is any of this for legit or would the 750 compare nicely to my Nuvi360 which I consider an exceptional piece of technology.

Thx.

My only auto GPS has been a 750 so I don't have anything to compare it to.

The very early firmware versions on the 750 did have satellite acq. timing issues, but that was ages ago.

I've only heard good things about the mount, especially when folks add a bean-bag base. Compared to earlier nuvis (3xx) that required connecting/disconnecting the power cable each time you removed it, the 7xx series has the power cable connect to the base, so removal and replacing the 750 on its mount is great.

There were serious issues with the 7xx series with firmware 4.0 and 4.1, but they're fixed now.

Check it out yourself. But for me, the 750 is great.

Note that if you want Bluetooth, you want a 760 instead of a 750--and if traffic is important to you, one of the more expensive new 7x5 series might be a better choice for you.

Sold!!!!!!!

I almost bought a 750 last week & decided to go with the 660. I am very satisfied with it so far.

I bought a 750 in February and had also read the blogs about "issues". However, I never had any issues with it. My mother loved it soo much that I gave it to her and bought myself the 760.

Both units are great. The extra money for the 760 is worth it for the traffic receiver alone (cheaper to buy the 760 then to buy the reciever afterwards) and the bluetooth is a bonus(although I don't really use the bluetooth as I love my plantronics 925).

So if you don't need/want those two options, the 750 is a good choice.

HotFix

Was HotFix added to the 750, whether in newer units or by updates?

I would try to take yours back!

Then wait for Black Friday or even till after Christmas.

Thanks for the comments on the 750, folks. I appreciate it. Maybe I will wait to get a big discount on the 760. I have Bluetooth now and would like to retain that feature. Having the traffic receiver may be of value to me at some point in the future.

I was in Costco (Canada)

I was in Costco (Canada) today, and they had a Nuvi 760 for $329 Price is dropping there too. I love my 760 and at that price, you can't go wrong.

My local Costco store has the Nuvi 760 at $249.95, now. Not a bad price. Thinking of trading my 680 for the 760. I gain the feature to add routes but I would have to trade the MSN traffic for the TMC. Not sure it's worth the trade.

$250

Yeah, I called COSTCO this weekend and was given that same $250 price - - quite a sweat deal.

What's TMC?

thx.

I saw the price on their webpage, it's quite a good deal! I'm still happy enough with my 660 though to keep it. It may be Discontinued, but it still works nicely smile

Nuvi 750 vs Nuvi 265WT

With the experience in this forum, I hope someone can help me out. I recently purchased the Costco deal on the 750. But I can get the 265WT for virtually the same price. I have read about a few issues the 750 may have had but I have also read where they have been corrected. I do not need a lot of extras. I do want spoken text with street names and "where am I?". I want the best unit that has no major issues. My question is: When it comes to doing what a GPS does (keeping me from getting lost) is one better than the other?

Thanks for your help. (I need it)!!!

As far as keeping you from getting lost..

They are all about the same....

I doubt that this'll be much help, but comparing a "few issues" from a well-known GPS with a brand new model (currently no issues, but then it's too soon really to know) isn't the best way to decide. [Maybe I'm still remembering this past presidential election cycle and overreacting ;-)]

I say just look at the cost of each and the features of each, ignoring past issues unless they're uncorrected, and buy the one that fits your needs best.

One can overthink buying electronics, cameras, cars, etc. and delay buying too long. Compared to owning no GPS, either a 750 or a 265WT is a giant leap forward and will give you hours of enjoyment.

Picked up the 760

At COSTCO for 249.99 for my niece for Xmas, she recently moved to Indy and it should help her in learning a new city. Great price.

Nuvi 760 vs. 750

Mainly bluetooth,

But it also comes with the TMC traffic receiver.

good price on a nuvi 780

Anyone out there have a good price on either 770 or 780?

this price is great

Last week I think about 250 or 760, and now I want buy this 750.

Nuvi 750 - Costco Deal!!! $199.00

Costco does not have the units on the floor in Atlanta, but you can order them online. Sam's Club has the units in the store.

JG - Nuvi 2460

It's my understanding that the COSTCO 750 deal

is internet-order ONLY. You do not have to be a member of COSTCO to buy it on-line...they tack on a 5% surcharge.

The 760 is available in-store. Get these soon to be discontinued models while they're HOT !!! No reason not to have a spare smile

Thanks !!!

Just wanted to personally thank "DorkusNimrod", "CraigW" & "rjrsw" for ALL their help. I will stick with the 750.

Internet Only

I went to the store on Carmel Mountain (San Diego) and they did not have it in the store. Did have to order internet.

Confimation

Carlsbad (San Diego) did not have them either.

Discontinued?

Do you have some inside information on the schedule for discontinuing the 7x0 line?
