POI file transfer from PC to GPS via USB (Maestro 3210)

How do I transfer a POI file from my computer to my GPS unit via USB cable?
I've tried clicking the green arrow icon in the Magellan POI File Editor. It prompts me to save the file. I do. But no transfer is made.

Any suggestions?

When connected to your PC, the Magellan Maestro 3210 should be recognized as an external hard drive. Copy the POI file you want to transfer using windows explorer from your PC to the folder USR/CPOI on your GPS. Don't forget, before you can use the file you have to load it using "Enhanced POI" option.

"enhanced POI's"

when I plug my GPS into the PC and I look into the files that are loaded onto the GPS I see the POI files. But when I try to choose "enhanced POI's" on the unit itself, it says no POI files have been loaded.

any idea of what I should do now?

POI files extension

Custom made POI files have to be in Magellan format with an extension of .mgln. If you loaded any other format of POI files your GPS isn't going to recognize them.

.mgln

yup. they are in that format. Once I plug the GPS into my PC, the autoplay window pops up. From there I looked into the folder and I can see that the POI files ARE there... I just can't seem to access them from the GPS unit.

I've got it figured out!

The problem I was having was because I wasn't saving the files in the right folder!!! They were saved into my POI folder but needed to be in the USR folder then in CPOI folder ~ Just like the original response implied (duh!)
Now everything is working fine!!!
I figured I'd post my mistake & solution in case anyone else out there was having the same problem!
