GXM30 subscriptions

Purchased a GXM30 to use with my 7200. I use the unit mainly when towing a large 5th wheel toyhauler. I had a couple of questions regarding service.

1. Am I better off with the Garmin or Navigon Lifetime traffic service

2. How much is the weather service?

3. What is the best way to subscribe to get traffic and weather?

I have a 2730 and a 7500 and a GXM-30.

I'm not sure what you mean when you ask about Navigon Traffic? The Navigon traffic service is built into the Navigon GPS devices and you can't move them.

As far as the XM service, you have to contact XM to subscribe to the service. You can subscribe for the XM radio service adn then add the XM NavTraffic.... or you can subscribe to JUST the NavTraffic.

But it ain't cheap !

I was not impressed atl all with the NavTraffic service and dropped it as soon as I could. It was not reliable at all, and I thought the Garmin Interface on the GPS units was dismal and disappointing.

You have some choices for traffic wiht the 7200, but you are stuck using the GXM-30 for the 2730 as that is the only traffic device compatible with the 2730.
