The Send To function of Google, MapQuest and others is pretty cool, but it results in some annoying side effects sometimes.
I sometimes find that a Favorite that I had "sent to" from a web site suddenly reappears in my Favorites days after I had used it and later deleted it.
It's caused by the Send To function of the web sites. Every time we use Send To, it downloads a one-item GPX file to the Garmin/GPX folder. On bootup, the Nuvi merges this with the other Favorites. Works pretty well, but it does not delete the original GPX file after it has been loaded and merged. So sometime in the future, it may reload this item again, even though I may have deleted it from my Favorites days ago.
There is some randomness to this resurrection of deleted Favorites, so it's annoying when it happens. It appears that the only cure is to periodically go into the Garmin/GPX folder and delete all the little downloaded files there.
Is there something I'm missing or doing wrong, or is this just how it all works?
