Nuvi 660 Firmware ver. 4.60

Friends and neighbors:

I just downloaded the firmware version 4.60 for my Nuvi 660 from Garmin website. I haven't installed it yet. Is there anyone that has installed this version? Did you experience any hiccups? Anything I should avoid or watch out for? Any noticeable improvement from the newer version?

Thanks in advance.

Nuvi 660

What improvement promised by 4.60 are you after? Is something not working for you?

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

Not really. With Garmin's fiascos in firmware upgrade. I'm taking the approach that if it ain't broke don't fix it. On the other hand, I did notice that my Nuvi 660 is getting slower in picking up satellite signals. I read somewhere that firmware upgrade can speed up this; hence the query.

No Hiccups yet

Just went on a 800 mile trek this past weekend and had no problems with the update. Traffic worked ok especailly when we got near the flooded streets in Indiana. It automatically re-routed us. Only one thing to note was that the fuse blew about 1 hour from home. Will be going to Radio Shack to buy some spares and have them in the car.
