Well it happened. In the midst of trip an in a traffic jam, up popped a message saying that the sat lock was gone. And so it continued off and on for a week.
When I got home, I contacted product support and to make a long story short, sent it in for repair. I'm GPS-less until they send it back.
I had my hotel location on it and thank heaven I had a backup email for location directions. It was bad enough not being able to detour around traffic. I hear TomTom has a new unit allowing user input to high traffic areas to avoid. Maybe we'll see Garmin do the same - sure would be nice to miss out on - say DC - at rush hour!!

I know what you mean. I sit in DC traffic every day. I hope Garmin gets your unit back to you soon.
