Cameras

Who says they are not to generate revenue. Here in Atlanta they can't decide what to do with the money now that there is a profit.

Too much money

Don't worry, they'll find something to spend it on.

Money first, safety second

I am in the fire service and can tell you that the cameras around my area are not in the most dangerous intersections.

Cameras are not always put in the dangerous intersections.
Intersections that have too many traffic collisions or pedestrian hits. Drivers not paying attention.
School zones where there have been near misses, Vehicle verses school kid in crosswalk. When that occurs, they send Dave out.
Any devices that works to save lives or slow traffic down, works for me.
There are many neighborhoods that are having speed bumps/humps put on the residential streets, it’s to slow traffic down and give a kid a chance to grow up.
