Would be nice to have a way to dump my address book into a POI/CSV file. Are there free tools to do such conversion ?
Thanks

Did you do a search on "outlook address book"?
Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

Export Your Outlook Contacts to a CSV File
To save your contacts from Outlook to a CSV file:
Select File | Import and Export... from the menu.
Make sure Export to a file is highlighted.
Click Next >.
Now make sure Comma Separated Values (Windows) is selected.
Click Next > again.
Highlight the Contacts folder.
Click Next >.
Use the Browse... button to specify a location and file name for the exported contacts. Something like "Outlook.csv" or "ol-contacts.csv" on your Desktop should work fine.
Click Next > (once more).
Now click Finish.

As detailed above, getting your outlook information into a .csv file is not too hard. However, by default, you'll get 93 columns of information (and two that you *must* have - longitude/latitude - will be missing).
Though it's not free, GeePeeEx Editor attempts to sort the wheat from the chaff, and produce a usable .gpx file from that input. The longitude & latitude can be obtained using its built-in geocoding interface (one that won't make wild guesses, if it can't find the address...).

You could use GeePeeEx's 'Export as Favourites' mechanism - which is free. In this case, you'll only get a subset of the data though.

I would be very wary of giving a complete stranger access to my personal information. Especially considering he has signed up on various gps forums to promote his site but used different user names on each site.

And according to whois the site was created/registered 10 days ago. So please be careful.

Addressbook to POI
Obviously a bit slow or the original post's question/request, but I have just updated
http://www.bradkent.com/?page=geo
You can now upload the address-book exports that Yahoo, Gmail, Outlook, etc generate and send your contacts to GPS, save as csv, gpx, etc
Does NOT require you to enter any username/password
Check it out and let me know what you think.
I'm taking suggestions
