Showing All Loaded POIs

Hello, All!

I'm fairly new to adding POI's to may Garmin Nuvi 265. When I load several POI lists to my Garmin as separate CSV files (e.g., Cracker Barrel, Drury Inn, NFL stadiums, etc.), do I have to specifically choose a POI list on my Nuvi for them to show-up, or does the Nuvi automatically show all of my POI's?

For example, when on the road and I'm in the mood for CRacker Barrel, do I have to specifically go to my Nuvi and select the Cracker Barrel list? Ideally, I would like to have the Nuvi always show all of my loaded POI's.

I welcome any guidance on what I might need to do to my Nuvi to show all POI's all the time.

Thanks!

Good Question

I have wondered about that same question before, also if the custom poi data is included when making a search...

It will show the closest 50

It will show the closest 50 to your current location. After touching custom pois you can select all categories to show combination of all the pois within that range.

Showing all POIs would get mighty cluttered. for on thin, to have POI Icons show, you have to be zoomed in to 300 feet or so and then what you get to see is Icons "along the road" (meaning 30 meters either side of the road). Cracker Barrels are usually not that close and I use Tourguides to alert me to them.

Besides, these icons are so small that you have a hard time reading them.

Perhaps you can pose your question a little differently because your GPS will route you to whatever you have loaded (or as charlesd45 indicated give your to 50 closest)

Custom POIs are not included in search

No, the Custom POIs are not included in the search done by tapping Where to, Points of Interest, Spell Name. Nor would they show up in the Address lookup.

Search custom pois.

You can search custom pois separate. For example lets say you are in NC and plan to go to VA Beach VA.You want to know if any of the hotels on your custom list are in VA Beach.Touch where to,near,a different city(type in VA Beach)once city comes up on screen touch it.Touch extras, custom pois and touch category hotel. It will list the ones in that area. Also once you have set a destination you can do the same for along the route or end destination.
