NICE!!!

To rich for my blood. I will try the vehicles on the 260.

It's nice, but....

like Dave says, it's too rich for me. Give it a year and it'll drop. Maybe I'll get it then. grin

I'm getting this unit :)

I'm getting this unit smile

After ~year and a half actually ... Price should then be more realistic

The new 800 nuvi lineup are

The new 800 nuvi lineup are very nice units. I just purchased an 850 about a month ago.

The selling point for me was that Garmin (or any manufacturer, for that matter) has FINALLY got the voice recognition feature working flawlessly in this new 800 line. The business I own keeps me on the road all day, traveling to new addresses constantly. With the 850, I'm not spending half my day anymore imputing addresses into a tiny keyboard. I speak my next destination & nuvi plots a course to that address. It even works in my noisy truck doing highway speeds & rarely misses my voice commands.

Also, the voice recognition feature allows you to perform any other function that you'd normally be pushing buttons for. The 850 has spoiled me with those features alone.

Whoa this looks pretty

Whoa this looks pretty sweet! Would definitely consider getting this if the price is right in the next 1-2 years.

Phone GPS in Two Years

While the 800 line looks nice, I'll probably be using a cellphone GPS in the next two years.

Garmin has to be getting worried about the advances in cell phones over the last year, especially the iphone. I can imagine that in a year from now the iphone will be able to do everything the top-of-the-line nuvi can do.

If I was Garmin, I'd be trying really really hard to improve the software and add new features on the existing units.

Pretty cool...

Maybe Costco will have a good deal on these down the road, if so Id pick one up.

The iPhone's GPS is crap right now. My ATT Tilt has all the features for free and works great. May be why Garmin is coming out with the Nuvi phone as well.

****NUVI 660****

I'll see what the prices are

I'll see what the prices are like around Christmas. I know for a fact I could sell my Nuvi 660 in a heartbeat and if I turn that cash around, I'll end up spending out of pocket what I paid for the 660. I too am on the road MOST of the day shuttling Ambulances in between counties.
