New chipset in the 2x5 series/changes

Hi
I used my 255W for the first car trip in the US last week. Got the following behavior I never got on my 370 (this is a route I use often, garmin only turned on because beginning of route). 255W would think that I had gotten off the FDR Drive (on East River in Manhattan), and kept giving me directions to get back on. This was at a time when traffic was its usual afternoon state on the FDR (that is, pedestrian mode would have been faster). But I never had this problem on the 370. Is it the case that the quicker updating plus some noise (usual in manhattan) led to this problem, whereas the slower 370 could not update fast enough to make this mistake?

As I have said in other postings, I really notice the diff between the 370 and 255W in many other ways; I really like not waiting a minute to get a satellite. I only wish it had better power saving features.

Neal
