VIewing POIs on C550

Is there a way to view POIs on a map in the C550? I have over 13000 POIs in the GPSr and want to look ahead on a trip I am about to take and see what POIs are along the way.

Just a suggestion for custom pois.I go to my custom pois when on a trip and touch all categories and all categories again and it will show the closest 50 combination of pois closest to me at that point of travel.It will changed as you travel.I let it stay on that screen since Jill will still give me the directions.

Yes, while driving and in the Nav map mode you won't see the custom icons...or the plain gray dots until you're pretty close to the location. As you state, having to be zoomed in is not that useful.
You can go to the Browse Map mode, (don't attempt while driving) and drag the map around to see the built in poi and favorites that are in the area.
This has some usefulness when in an unfamiliar area to find something quick without going the "where to" "Food, Hotels..." etc route. The built in icons show up at 300' and closer. The icons for favorites will display at 1.2mi and closer.
Just another option to try when wanting to look ahead on a trip.
