I like to listen to books and I download them from the Los Angeles Public Library for free, in the past, I listened to them on my mp3 player.
When I got the 760 I was aware that it would play books so I was puzzled when the books I downloaded would not load to the nuvi until I noticed they are protected WMA files. They can not be changed to mp3 files.
Does anyone know of a way around this? There are software solutions for pdas etc but I haven't found one for a nuvi...
SoundTaxi Professional works great:
Got it, using it, happy camper...
I searched for something like this with no success..
That's great (and useful) information. Thanks for the link.
Do I understand this right? A NUVI 2595 will play MP3 audio books? Can you move the " Audible " file to the sd card and have success? I know this is an old thread but I have access to a lot of e-book MP3's.
A Nuvi 2595 will not play MP3 files.
This thread is about a nuvi 760.
Older models supported MP3.
Newer models do not have an MP3 player.
That makes sense given all the other devices we carry now that can. I never did use my GPS as an eBook player when it had the functionallity
