eBooks and my nuvi 760

I like to listen to books and I download them from the Los Angeles Public Library for free, in the past, I listened to them on my mp3 player.
When I got the 760 I was aware that it would play books so I was puzzled when the books I downloaded would not load to the nuvi until I noticed they are protected WMA files. They can not be changed to mp3 files.

Does anyone know of a way around this? There are software solutions for pdas etc but I haven't found one for a nuvi...

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.

Thanks for the information

Got it, using it, happy camper... grin

I searched for something like this with no success..

Thanks again

Do I understand this right? A NUVI 2595 will play MP3 audio books? Can you move the " Audible " file to the sd card and have success? I know this is an old thread but I have access to a lot of e-book MP3's.
