Registered new 650 and got free 2009 update, but.....

So, I bought a new 650 to replace my 350 and when I went to register my new product, I got a pop up menu stating I qualified for a new map update (which I went and downloaded, and installed). My question is, since I got a new unlock code for the 2009 map, I haven't used the one that came with the unit (one that comes with the orange paper in the box). Does this mean I can use this to purchase/unlock a different map? grin Just curious.

No. The unlock code in the box is for the v2008 maps that were preloaded on the unit. You can't load them on a different unit.
