Yes if you have downloaded it to your pc you will need to put in a folder for loading to your gps.See this node http://www.poi-factory.com/node/1631 .If you have any more problems let us know and a member will help you through the process.

Right click
When you saved the file, you saved it as an XML page. Try re-saving it using the right-click, save as function. If that still says that it is an xml or html page, the right-click on the file and it should open a download page for you.

Are you using IE? This is a browser issue. If right clicking doesn't work, then try using Firefox.

It's loaded in my POI folder as a gpx file. I am unable to look at the file though. Is this normal for this type of file?
Open with a text editor
or what ever you call it in the PC world. On a Mac TextEdit will open it. Does it work? Then just use it. Be sure to check the thread I referenced above.

You can open it with notepad etc. Right click on file and select another program to open it for viewing.
Just use the poi loader and download to your gps.If you downloaded off this site it should be good to go.

Hi Beachnut14,
I use a Mac and downloaded the Cold Stone Creamery file using Safari. The files name (after downloading it) was:
Cold Stone Creamery.gpx.xml
All I did was remove the ".xml" part of the files name and loaded it on my Nüvi 670, without any problems.
HTH (hope that helps)
