Worlds Greates Outdoor Show

Welcome to Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Yaw- Hooo Its Stampede time in the old cow town for the next ten days. Come one come all to the world fames CALGARY STAMPEDE. I know the cost of gas is high and times are tough, But you only come by this way once. For those of you who have never been to Calgary for the Stampede, you don’t know what you’re missing.

For the next ten days, Calgary will be the place to be. The midway opens tonight with sneak-a-peek so you can go and see what’s new for 2008. You get in free tonight and can ride all the rides at a .lower price. The big parade will start Friday .at 9am and it takes about 2.5 hrs to complete. There will be dancing in the streets and free breakfast all over town.

One of the big free breakfasts is at Chinook Centre and is will put through about 30 to 40 thousand people in a 4 hr. time frame. I know this for a fact, as I cooked there for twenty three years. People who work in the mall man the grills and cook pancakes and sausages for everyone. There is always lots of entertainment going on for the young and old.

The Stampede grounds opens around 9 am and closes somewhere around midnight or so. There is a big rodeo each afternoon and World famous Chuck wagon races and stage show every night for the 10 days. A big fireworks show every night at the grounds for all to see.

Most the bars and clubs bring in country bands for the 10 days and people dress in jeans and boots and of course the cowboy hat. This is one time you can where you jeans and boots to the office. I am sure you will have a great time and it will be something you won’t forget for a long time.

So load up the family and get your GPS and drive over the border and let us show you how to have a great time in Calgary Alberta.

The Stampede go's from July 4th to Julh 13th 2008
