Is there some sort of item (belt connector, etc.) that I can purchase for my Nuvi 660 when I take it with me walking - GeoCaching, etc.? Something that makes it easier to hold, look down at, etc.?

I think you may be seeking something like this but still need to figure out how to attachit to what you wish to use. You could possibly get a piece of plastic and mount a back pack strap between the holder and the plastice with screws or something.
