Ways to publish supplemental description .doc file

I've created and (Miss POI kindly published) a .gpx file covering POIs we developed for our upcoming trip to O'ahu. But as part of that effort we also created a .doc file actually describing those POIs in some detail. And for most we were able to find and include links to sites having abundant detail.

Your thoughts, please, on ways to make that .doc file easily available through GPS Factory to those who might want to download it.

FYI I actually considered creating and hosting a small web site for the sole purpose of providing a link to this document. But, unfortunately, I know nothing about creating and hosting web sites, so that idea was a non-starter. Other ideas?

Glenn

Glenn, You can always add a description to the page that the file is on and I can add pictures to that page if you would like.

Miss POI

Description

Thanks for yout fast response. As a POI Factory newbee I had thought of the Description section as a brief, general intro to the POI file. My .doc file, on the other hand, is 16 pages long (101 KB) and describes each of the 70 POIs in some detail. What you've described is certainly the easiest (for me) and most direct way of presenting that info. But before I edit it in, I want to make sure text of that magnitude doesn't violate either the site's intent or size limitation for the Description section. Let me know what you think.

An Addition

Glenn,

If you would consider an addition, for those of us who like to soar with with birds, Dillingham Airfield, North Shore Oahu, Honolulu Soaring Club.

They have great glider rides, both single and dual passengers aircraft. It's a great ride over the north shore of Oahu. A little bite of a ride to get there but if there is any interest in soaring, this is the place to go.

Add the data to the POI file itself...

Data of that size can be embedded within the .gpx file itself, ie. for display on the actual GPS (at least in the case of modern Garmin units (such as the Nüvi range)).

When your description page is done, I'll have a go at creating such a version, if that's ok with you?
