can not get new vechicles onto nuvi 360

Make sure you are putting them into the Vehicle Folder. That folder will hold quite a few..then compare to make sure they are the same file type...

You should not need any other programs to install the file. Once you download the .srf file you simply hook your nuvi up to the computer, find the folder that says vehicles and drag and drop the srf file there. After you disconnect from the computer, you should find it in your nuvi settings page.

What vehicle are you trying to load and from where?

it seems when i download one of the icons(say cop car doe example)it shows up as cop.zip.
thne it gives me the option of opening the file or saving to disk. i am not sure if this is where the problem lies. the file is from www8.garmin .com

It might be that you are trying to open it. When you click the vehicle you want from the Garmin website, you should click "save as" and save it to your computer. Don't change their name but maybe the path to make it to your desktop to find it quicker. Then it should show as a cop.srf on your desktop. Then just drag and drop the folder to your nuvi.

If everything goes OK, check here for more unique vehicles. aarrgghh has some really good ones.

Run the Garmin free software webupdater. Download it for free onto your computer if you don't already have it. It'll check to see if any new update is applicable to your device. New update includes software, new languages and vehicle icon etc.
