POI formatting

Hi,

I have created a few POI files using the method described at the end of this post.

I find that the information displayed on my GPS is clustered like this:

Home Depot Sarcee Trail NW
11320 Sarcee Trail NWCalgary, AB T3G, Can
ada(403) 374-3860STOR
E HOURSM-F 7AM-10PMS
AT 7AM-8PMSUN 8AM-6PM

When I click on the pushpin in MyMaps on GoogleMaps the info shows up like this:

Home Depot Sarcee Trail NW
11320 Sarcee Trail NW
Calgary, AB T3G, Canada
403) 374-3860

STORE HOURS
M-F 7AM-10PM
SAT 7AM-8PM
SUN 8AM-6PM

Any ideas on how to fix this? I have a few POIs for Calgary that I'd like to contribute.

Method of creating POIs:
1. Create a map on MyMaps on Google with a list of POIs
2. Once created click on 'link to this page'. Copy the URL.
3. Paste this URL in www.takitwithme.com. Click on 'load my map'. Then click on 'Download GPS'.
4. Rename the downloaded GPX file to a meaningful name
5. Load the renamed GPX file into the GPS using POI loader.

TIA

Try this.

If you want to make your life MUCH easier, check out Phil Hornby's GeePeeEx Editor:

It takes out all the work. He offers a trial version. I tried your example and it worked beautifully. I have no idea what formatting it did internal to the file, but the output was perfect.
