Accuracy with SP c330

Are you saying that on the map screen on your GPS unit that the POI location shows up 2-3 miles from where it really is? If so, then the answer would be that the POI location is incorrect.

Or are you saying that it is routing you 2-3 miles out of the way? The unit will only route on roads that exist in the unit. So, it might be routing you around based on the roads that it has on its maps.

It doesn't, however, have anything to do with whether the unit knows the address or not. The unit isn't navigating based upon the address. It is using the coordinates.

Or are you saying something else?

These sets of coordinates are different from the spreadsheet. maybe this is the problem, I can input them seperately to the Street Pilot and see if one is closer....

The distances you see when you look at an the POIs or even Favorites is a STRAIGHT LINE distance from your location!!!!

It is not the distance you would get when you route to them.

When I go to Walmart web page it shows super Walmart at 302 Enterprise DR Independence IA 50644 phone number 319-334-7128.I go to Google maps and plug in Walmart it shows Wal-Mart Store‎ 111 20Th Avenue Sw, Independence, IA(319) 334-7128‎ .

The Walmart is in Independence, IA 50644. (302 Enterprise Drive)

This is only a few years old...the pharmacy IS inside this walmart. The old walmart was NW of the new one.

The garmin is not routing me around and adding mileage to the trip, it was taking me 2-3 miles SE of the Actual physical address. The physical address does not exist on my garmin, with North America v8.

Based on that information the coordinates should be
longitude -91.8996 latitude 42.4503 according to google maps.Not -91.8671 42.4437 listed on the csv Walmart file.Someone will have to let the owner of the file know so they can make the change.I changed my copy.

That means that the POI location is incorrect in the file. Again, it doesn't have anything to do with the address not being on the maps on your unitother than the fact that it was geocoded incorrectly. The unit is navigating to the coordinates.

I have that file fixed now, I realized that I would need to do it by editing the file that was on the site due to the fact that I was not sure which version of the file you were working from Charlie;) There have been a lot of fixes made to this file over the last few weeks.

I believe I have the latest update posted on the forum.I Try to keep up with all updates on Walmart,Redlight cameras and Cracker Barrel.But just in case I will re-download the Walmart.Thanks for the heads up.
